With Aaron Ramsey’s form steadily skyrocketing the way it is, speculation taking him away from the Emirates was always inevitable.
And according to the Daily Mail, Rambo’s reawakening has caught the attention of Barcelona.
As Europe has sat up and taken notice of Ramsey over the last two months, the Mail claim Barcelona have dispatched scouts to Arsenal’s last four games and Wales’s matches with Belgium and Macedonia, to keep close tabs on Rambo.
Barcelona manager Tata Martino hasn’t ruled out bringing anyone in during the January transfer window, and it’s easy to see the rationale behind their interest.
This will obviously be doomsday material to Gooners everywhere, though any talk of a move in the short-term is obviously fanciful, with Barcelona not even technically in need of a midfielder of Ramsey’s profile.
Still though, the very fact Barcelona are serious enough to be sending scouts means this is probably not the last time we’ll hear such speculation.
